Israel here we come!
Depart London for your daytime flight to Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv.
On arrival, you meet your tour guide and coach driver who will transfer you to the Residence Hotel in Netanya in time for evening dinner and overnight stay.
Caesarea & the Mediterranean Coast
We begin the day with Israeli buffet style breakfast. Our first visit will be Jaffa, this is the oldest part of Tel Aviv, most well-known for the biblical stories of Jonah, Solomon and Saint Peter. Onto Caesarea Maritime, (home of Pontius Pilate). We continue North towards the Sea of Galilee, on route we stop off at Mt Carmel. We will arrive in good time for evening dinner & overnight at Mary’s Well hotel in Nazareth.
Sites around the Lake
Following breakfast, we visit the town of Magdala (home of Mary Magdalene). Next, a visit to the Mount of Beatitudes. We will then visit Capernaum (Village of Naum and the town where Jesus lived Matthew 4:13). Onto Bethsaida (Thought to be the “Feeding of the 5000 site) before a short stop for lunch to try St Peter’s Fish (Tilapia) in one of the local fish restaurants. After lunch we will visit Tabgha, traditional “feeding of 5000 site” before we view the “Jesus Boat” located at the Ginosar museum. We will then end the day with a relaxing boat trip on the Sea of Galilee where you will have the opportunity to partake in Communion should you wish before returning to our hotel for evening dinner.
Drive to the Golan Heights, visit Tel Dan and Banias (Caesarea Philippi). We visit Mt Bental for panoramic views of the Golan Heights and into Syria. We return to Marys Well in Nazareth for dinner and overnight stay.
Jerusalem here we come!
On the way to Jerusalem we visit Tel Hatzor, the spring of Harod also known as Gideon spring, we visit Beat Shean where King Saul’s head was displayed and then onto Jerusalem. We check in to the Paradise hotel in Bethlehem in time for evening dinner.
Herodian’s Fortress and Bethlehem leisure time
We spend the morning at the Herodian fortress built by King Herod. Travel back to Bethlehem for free leisure time in the afternoon.
Dead Sea Day
Departing early morning from Bethlehem to reach the Authentic Baptismal site Qsar El Yahud in the Jordan river, thought to be around 200m from where Jesus was baptised, the course of the river bed was pushed out 200m due to an earthquake.
We head North to Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. We visit Ein Gedi which is literally known as “spring of the kid” an oasis and a nature reserve in Israel, located west of the Dead Sea.
Next, we ascend to the summit of Masada by cable car to hear its’ amazing story before spending time in mud baths, floating in the Dead Sea (the lowest point on earth, 1300ft below sea level).
PLEASE NOTE: WE SUGGEST YOU BRING A TOWEL WITH YOU FOR THE DEAD SEA DAY! You can hire towels on site for around 10 Shekels, payable locally.
Jerusalem Old City Walk
We will start the day with a view from the summit of the Mount of Olives, we will walk along the Palm Sunday route to Dominus Flevit (The Tear Drop Church) before visiting the Garden of Gethsemane including the private garden.
We visit to the Western (Wailing) Wall, this is the only remaining section of the second temple, most holy to the Jewish people. We visit the Southern Steps where Jesus would have told Parables to the Crowds.
Finally, we finish at the Garden Tomb, one of the possible sites considered to be the place of Calvary. We then return for dinner and overnight at our hotel.
Neot Kedumin Biblical Gardens & Goodbye Israel
After breakfast, transfer to Ben Gurion airport for our flight to London, Stop at Neot Kedumin, the Biblical Landscape Reserve in Israel, is located halfway between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. This unique recreation of the physical setting of the Bible in all its depth and detail allows visitors to see life as it was lived by our ancestors 3,000 years ago. We have lunch in the Garden made up of food Jesus would have eaten before we fly home to London.
