Bill & Therese Partington (below) have led many tours to the Holy Land over the past ten years and look forward to you joining them this autumn.  In addition to enjoying a memorable trip on the Sea of Galilee, the itinerary includes many major historical and Biblical sites, such as the Garden Tomb, the Garden of Gethsemane, the Mount of Beatitudes, the Western Wall, Mount Carmel and many more – in addition to a special visit to the ancient sites at Petra in Jordan.

Tuesday 26th November 2019

Depart London for Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport and transfer to your accommodation in time for evening dinner. On arrival at Ben Gurion we are met by our local Israeli guide and driver.

Overnight will be in the seaside town of Netanya which is located about halfway between Tel Aviv and Haifa on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea.

Wednesday 27th November 2019

After breakfast, a morning tour of Caesarea Maritima (King Herod’s summer palace and where Paul stood before King Agrippa). Then onto Mount Carmel where Elijah contested with the prophets of Baal.

After lunch we visit Meggido (Valley of Armageddon). Next, drive to the Nazareth Village (see right) for a tour and presentation of the life, times and teachings of Jesus. Dinner and overnight will be in the Galilee area.

Thursday 28th November 2019

We start our day at Caesarea Philippi before visiting Mount Bental with a view of Mount Hermon and the border with Syria, then drive across the Golan Heights and onto Capernaum where Jesus was based for the majority of His ministry.

After an enjoyable St. Peter’s fish lunch, we walk down the Mount of Beatitudes to where the loaves and fishes miracle took place. Our day concludes after a visit to Nof Ginosar and the 2,000 year old boat, with a boat trip on the Sea of Galilee (see left), including a short communion service. Overnight in the Galilee area.

Friday 29th November 2019

Visit the amazing Roman ruins of Beit Shean where the body of King Saul was hung on the city walls. We then travel down the Jordan Valley to Qumran where the Essenes Sect were based and the Dead Sea Scrolls were found.

After lunch travel over the border into Jordan at the Allenby Crossing near Jericho. Late afternoon float in the Dead Sea (see right). Overnight near the Dead Sea.

Saturday 30th November 2019

A final chance for a breakfast float in the Dead Sea, then on to Bethany Beyond Jordan, believed to be the authentic site of Jesus’ baptism.

We travel up to the historic site of Mount Nebo (see left) where Moses overlooked the Promised Land, witness the amazing panoramic view of the biblical lands, we proceed to drive down the Kings Highway (spectacular!) to Petra. Dinner and  Overnight will be in Wadi Mussa (Petra).

Whole day in spectacular Petra, now acclaimed as one of the wonders of the world and by tradition where the Magi obtained the gifts for Jesus’ birth.

Petra (see right) is a famous archaeological site in Jordan’s southwestern desert. Dating to around 300 B.C., it was the capital of the Nabatean Kingdom. Accessed via a narrow canyon called Al Siq, it contains tombs and temples carved into pink sandstone cliffs, earning its nickname, the “Rose City.” Perhaps its most famous structure is 45m-high Al Khazneh, a temple with an ornate, Greek-style facade, and known as The Treasury.

After a long day of trekking, you are free to relax at our hotel or visit the 2,000 year old Cave Bar (oldest bar in the world) for a refreshing local fruit drink or peppermint tea. Overnight in Wadi Mussa (Petra).

Monday 2nd December 2019

We visit Wadi Rum (see left, described by Lawrence of Arabia as ‘Rum the Magnificent’) for a Jeep safari through the Wadi, followed by a Bedouin lunch. A mid-afternoon transfer to Eilat border crossing for a free evening to relax and swim at the hotel, walk on the Red Sea beach or shop Tax Free.

Tuesday 3rd December 2019

We start our day with a visit to the Tabernacle in the Desert and a presentation comparing the Old Testament sacrifice system to the New Testament sacrifice of Jesus Christ. We then drive onto Masada (spectacular and an extraordinary story).

After lunch at Masada (see right), shop for some of the best Dead Sea cosmetic products before driving up to Bethlehem where you have an evening to relax.

Wednesday 4th December 2019

We visit the private olive garden at Gethsemane (see left) and spend time in prayer, visit St Anne’s Church, Pool of Bethesda, walk the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre (crucifixion site). We walk up to the Jewish Quarter and visit the Upper Room.

We end our day with a visit to Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum time permitting we visit the Israel Museum. After dinner we visit the Citadel of David, Sound and Light Show.

Thursday 5th December 2019

We start our day with a walk through Hezekiah’s Tunnel (either wet or dry) and finish at the Pool of Siloam. Next, we visit the Southern Steps of the Second Temple, followed by a visit to the Western Wall (Wailing Wall) and then visit the Generations Exhibition.

Onto the Garden Tomb (see right) with a short communion service, then up to the Mount of Olives for a spectacular view over old Jerusalem.

After breakfast we transfer to Ben Gurion airport for flight home.
