Jeff and Kay look forward to showing you, London, their home town, the city they know so well. In Israel & Jordan, Jeff will be teaching and sharing from the scripture in the ‘land of Jesus” in his own unique way. Oxford Street and the Wallace collectionRead More

After brunch join our optional walking tour through Oxford Street, Duke Street and a visit to The Wallace Collection. We leave our hotel at 3pm sharp and walk the short distance to Oxford Street, the UK’s favourite High Street and the most visited shopping street in Europe then via Duke Street famous from the BBC drama series ‘The Duchess of Duke Street’.

No time for shopping today as we are on our way to The Wallace Collection – a national museum in an historic London town house. In 25 galleries are unsurpassed displays of French 18th-century paintings, furniture and porcelain with superb Old Master paintings and a world class armoury. The Great Gallery has been described as “the greatest picture gallery in Europe.” It reopened in September 2014, following a two-year refurbishment with a new hang and a reconfigured ceiling allowing natural light in.

After the museum closes at 5pm we will walk the short distance back to the hotel. For the hardier among us, theatre tickets can be ordered from the concierge at the hotel, (subject to availability) or ahead of time online. Overnight at the Amba Marble Arch hotel.

Monday 24th October 2022

Following breakfast at the hotel we will depart around 9am for a full day’s panoramic city touring including photo stop opportunities at Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, and guided tour of the Tower of London.

The Tower of London is famous for housing the Crown Jewels, the Yeoman Wardens (often called Beefeaters), the Ravens and the Bloody Tower. This amazing fortress/palace/prison has some stunning stories to tell. The ancient Tower (actually a series of towers) has been the scene of beheadings, murders and imprisonment. After lunch, we visit and tour St. Paul’s Cathedral, (this is the one of the tallest buildings in London, 365 feet or 111m high at its peak) the masterpiece of Britain’s most famous architect, Sir Christopher Wren.

We also have photo stop visits to Trafalgar Square and 10 Downing Street (Home of the UK Prime minster Boris Johnson). In the evening there is an opportunity to find a restaurant of your choice from the many available around the central location of your hotel. Later, you may wish to take in one of London’s famous West End shows or walk around Theatre land.

Tuesday 25th October 2022

Half day panoramic touring including seeing many historic sites including a visit and tour of the stately and ancient Westminster Abbey, (the wedding venue of Prince William and Kate Middleton in 2011), plus photo stops at Embankment, Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus, ending at the British Museum.

Your hotel is based on Oxford Street, one of the world’s most famous shopping streets, and just a 3-minute walk to Marble Arch Tube Station. Marble 

Arch is on the Junction of Oxford Street, Park Lane and Hyde Park so there is plenty to see and do. We suggest an optional visit to the British Museum. The museum is dedicated to human history, art and culture. Its permanent collection of around eight million works and is among the largest and most comprehensive in existence, having been widely sourced during the era of the British Empire.

Anybody who wishes not to view the museum can return to the Amba hotel on the coach. Group members who view the museum will need to make their own way back to the Amba hotel. (Two stops up the Central tube line or you can take a London bus or Taxi.)

We begin with a full English breakfast at the Amba hotel. Following breakfast, we head to Buckingham Palace where we will view the ‘Changing of the Guards.’ In the afternoon, we transfer from the Amba hotel to Heathrow in time for our British Airways 16:55pm flight to Tel Aviv. We land in Tel Aviv at 23:55pm local time and take the short transfer to the Dan Panorama hotel in Tel Aviv for overnight stay.

We begin the day with Israeli buffet style breakfast. Our first visit will be Jaffa, this is the oldest part of Tel Aviv, most well-known for the biblical stories of Jonah, Solomon and Saint Peter.

Onto Caesarea Maritime (home of Pontius Pilate). We continue North towards the Sea of Galilee, on route we stop off at Meggido (Armageddon) in the Bible. We will arrive for evening dinner & overnight at Kibbutz Hagoshrim, upper Galilee.

Friday 28th October 2022

Following breakfast, we begin at the Mt of Beatitudes, next a visit to Tabgha (Feeding of 5000 site) before we visit the town of Magdala (home of Mary Magdalene), we then enjoy the calmness of the Sea of Galilee with a Boat ride across to Capernaum where we view the ruins of the great ancient synagogue.

Following breakfast, we take a very early transfer to the Sheik Hussein border crossing to arrive for 9am (approx.) We cross into Jordan and are met by our Jordanian guide and coach driver. Our first stop will be the ancient ruins of the city of Jerash.

Onto Madaba to view the famous mosaic (St. George Church & Mosaic Map) before we ascend Mount Nebo where Moses viewed the promised land. We transfer in time for dinner & overnight at the Petra Moon hotel in Petra.

After breakfast we are in store for the highlight of Jordan. We spend a whole day touring Petra, shown around by a local Bedouin guide who resides in the city.

Petra is a famous archaeological site in Jordan’s southwestern desert. Dating to around 300 B.C., it was the capital of the Nabatean Kingdom. Accessed via a narrow canyon called Al Siq, it contains tombs and temples carved into pink sandstone cliffs, earning its nickname, the “Rose City.” Perhaps its most famous structure is 45m-high Al Khazneh, a temple with an ornate, Greek-style facade, and known as “The Treasury”. We transfer for dinner and overnight at the Petra Moon Hotel.

Monday 31st October 2022

After breakfast we make our final stop in Jordan at Wadi Rum. Lawrence of Arabia famously named it “Rum the Magnificent”.

Wadi Rum is a protected desert wilderness in southern Jordan. It features dramatic sandstone mountains like the many-domed Jebel Um Ishrin, and natural arches such as Burdah Rock Bridge. Many prehistoric inscriptions and carvings line rocky caverns and steep chasms, such as Khazali Canyon. The natural watering hole of Lawrence’s Spring is named after British soldier Lawrence of Arabia, who allegedly washed there. Here we will embark on a short Jeep Safari ride in one of local Bedouin Trucks. We cross back into Israel via the Arava border crossing in Eilat and make the journey (approx. 3 hours) to the David hotel at the Dead Sea in time for dinner and overnight, on route we will view King Solomon’s mines as you drive by through the Negev desert.

After breakfast, we begin the day with a float in the Dead Sea using the David Hotel beach.  We visit Ein Gedi which is literally known as “spring of the kid” an oasis and a nature reserve in Israel, located west of the Dead Sea.

Next, we stop at the Qsar El Yahud baptismal site where we will conduct baptisms as required before travelling North to Jerusalem stopping in the evening at the Western Wall before check in and evening dinner at our hotel, the Leonardo Plaza.

Wednesday 2nd November 2022

Following breakfast, we begin at the Mount of Olives Next, the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus prayed and slept with his disciples the night before his crucifixion. We enter the Old City via St Stephen’s Gate (Also known as the Lion Gate), Pool of Bethesda, the Via Dolarosa (The Way of Sorrows). We continue to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. A walk through the Suk (Bazaar) will bring you to the Cardo the main street from the time of Jesus.

Next, we visit the Davidson Centre with its superb dynamic of the Temple and the Southern Steps of the Temple where Jesus overturned the temple rogue traders. Visit the Pool of Siloam, and) the Upper Room (Time permitting). Finally, we finish at the Garden Tomb, one of the possible sites considered to be the place of Calvary. We then return for dinner and overnight again at the Leonardo Plaza hotel in Jerusalem.

After breakfast, we depart Jerusalem and transfer to Neot Kedumin, the Biblical Landscape Reserve in Israel, is located halfway between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. This unique recreation of the physical setting of the Bible in all its depth and detail allows visitors to see life as it was lived by our ancestors 3,000 years ago. We have lunch in the Garden made up of food Jesus would have eaten. We transfer to Ben Gurion airport Tel Aviv for our 16:25pm flight back to London Heathrow arriving at 19:45pm. Dinner and overnight stay at the Renaissance hotel, Heathrow.
