Day 1 - Sunday ArrivalRead More

Ben Gurion Airport / Tel Aviv

 

Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport, where you will be met by a Travelink representative and transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Tel Aviv.

 

(Flights from the UK can be arranged with EL AL from Heathrow or Luton, our preferred carrier as per the picture, British Airways from Heathrow or EasyJet from Luton.)

Day 2 - MondayRead More

Caesarea / Muhraka / Megiddo / Acre

Depart Tel-Aviv and drive along the coastal plain to Caesarea, once the Roman capital of the region; visit the excavations of the ancient city, the Roman theatre and aqueduct. (see right)

Proceed to Muhraka, the site of confrontation between Elijah and the prophets of Baal; enjoy the spectacular view of the Jezreel valley and the lower Galilee. Continue to Megiddo, identi ed as the site of Armageddon; learn the impressive history of this battle eld as you visit the archaeological excavations including the well-preserved water supply system. Onto Acre to visit the remarkable underground Crusader City and crypt; walk through the Old City recognized by UNESCO as world heritage site, the local market and harbor. Overnight in Kibbutz.

 

 

Day 3 - TuesdayRead More

Tiberias / Capernaum / Banias

 

After a short tour of Tiberias, take a boat ride to Capernaum. (see left) Visit the remains of the 2nd century synagogue. Proceed to Tabgha, the site of the “Miracle of Fish and Loaves” and visit the Church of Multiplication with its 4th century mosaic floor. Continue to Mount of Beatitudes, the place where Jesus delivered the sermon on the mount. Drive to the Banias springs and waterfalls and tour the Golan heights. Return to Kibbutz Lavi for overnight.

Nazareth / Beit Shean

 

Drive to Nazareth via Cana of Galilee. Visit the Church of Annunciation, St. Joseph’s workshop and Mary’s well. Drive to Yardenit, the baptismal site on the Jordan river; (see right) continue to Beit Shean, a newly excavated city, and visit the Roman theatre. Drive along the Jordan river to Jerusalem. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Jerusalem – Old City

 

Drive to Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the city; (see left) visit the Church of All Nations, King David’s tomb and the room of the Last Supper on Mount Zion. Enter within the walls of the Old City and visit the Cardo, Temple Mount (entrance to the mosques not included), Western Wall, Via Dolorosa, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Oriental Bazaar ; Visit the Garden Tomb.
Overnight in Jerusalem.

Jerusalem – New City and Bethlehem*

 

Drive to Ein Kerem to visit the Church of Visitation; proceed to Yad Vashem, the memorial to the holocaust; visit the Israel museum, shrine of the book, where the dead sea scrolls are housed and the miniature model of Jerusalem (see right) as it was during the second temple period. Proceed to Bethlehem * to visit the Church of Nativity. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Dead Sea / Massada

 

Drive to Qumran, where the dead sea scrolls were found. Visit the ancient city of Qumran and drive along the shores of the dead sea, the lowest place on earth to Massada (see left), the last stronghold of the Jews after the destruction of the second temple in 70 A.D. Ascend Massada by cable car and visit the food storeroom, water irrigation system and Herod’s palace. Descend by cable car . Time and weather permitting , an opportunity will be provided to float on the Dead Sea. Return to Jerusalem for overnight.

Transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for departure.

To give accurate pricing it would be helpful to have the following details:

  1. Travel dates – Exact dates would be ideal, rough dates are helpful. December to February excluding school holiday periods is the cheapest time to visit. School Holiday periods are the most expensive. Tours do not run over Easter week and Succoth (Feast of the Tabernacles)
  2. Hotel rooms – Do you require a Double/Twin sharing room, a Single room or a Triple room. (Please note: 3rd bed in a Triple room is a pull out sofa type bed, suitable for teenagers/young adults)
  3. Hotel standard – 3, 4, or 5 star hotels required?
  4. Flights – Would Heathrow or Luton, suit you best? Luton is normally cheaper due to airport taxation. (Please note: Flight prices are subject to change and price MUST be re-confirmed at the time of booking)

Tours do not operate at certain times of the year due to religious holidays. Itinerary may be altered or withdrawn due to prevailing local conditions
