In Israel Jeff will be teaching and sharing from the scripture in the ‘land of Jesus’ in his own unique way. Oxford Street & The Wallace Collection

 

You will be met at London’s Heathrow Airport by our representative and escorted to your bus for transfer to the Thistle Marble Arch hotel for a 3-night stay. Brunch will be served on arrival.

Early afternoon we will walk the short distance to Oxford Street, the UK’s favorite High Street and the most visited shopping street in Europe. After checking in, those who have energy can visit the Wallace Collection, a national museum in an historic London town house. 25 galleries are filled with stunning displays of French 18th-century paintings, furniture and porcelain and a world class armory. The Great Gallery has been described as “the greatest picture gallery in Europe.” After the museum closes at 5pm we will walk the short distance back to the Thistle Marble Arch hotel.

Full day panoramic touring including Westminster Abbey & St Pauls Cathedral

 

We’re off on full day’s guided tour of London, seeing many historic sites including a visit and tour of the stately and ancient Westminster Abbey, (the wedding venue of Prince William and Kate Middleton in 2011 and the site of King Charles 3rd’s recent coronation). We will also have photo opportunities at Buckingham Palace. We then pass Trafalgar Square, Tower Bridge and Big Ben, the famous clock tower (actually Big Ben is the name of the bell inside!) There’s an opportunity to grab a snack for lunch, followed by a visit and tour of St. Paul’s Cathedral, this is one of the tallest buildings in London, 365 feet. The cathedral is the masterpiece of Britain’s most famous architect, Sir Christopher Wren. In the evening there is an opportunity to find a restaurant of your choice from the many available around the central location of your hotel.  Later, you may wish to take in one of London’s famous West End shows or walk around Theatre land.

Half day London Panoramic touring with guided tour of the Tower of London 

 

Following breakfast at our hotel we will depart around 9am for the Tower of London, famous for housing the Crown Jewels, the Yeoman Wardens (often called Beefeaters), the Ravens and the Bloody Tower. This amazing fortress, palace at times, prison has some stunning stories to tell. The ancient Tower (actually a series of towers) has been the scene of beheadings, murders and imprisonment. We will transfer back to the hotel for around 12.30pm, and then have the afternoon and evening free to explore London. Your hotel is just a 3-minute walk to Marble Arch Tube station. There is plenty to see and do nearby!

A very early departure –  there will be breakfast boxes for you to collect from the hotel reception since the transfer to the airport will be in the early hours. We depart from London Heathrow for your BA165 07:50 flight to Ben Gurion Airport, arriving at 14:35 in Tel Aviv. Transfer to the Eden Inn Zichron Yaakov in time for evening dinner.

Caesarea, Mt Carmel and Magdala.

 

We begin the day with Israeli buffet style breakfast. We will gather at the hotel for a short time before we depart for Caesarea Maritime, the home of Pontius Pilate. We continue north along the Mediterranean Coast to Mt Carmel, where Elijah contested the Prophets of Ba’al. Our final visit of the day will be the town of Magdala, home of Mary Magdalene. We will arrive in good time for evening dinner, followed by an optional meeting, and overnight at Kfar Giladi.

Sites Around the Sea of Galilee

 

Following breakfast, we begin the day at Caesarea Philippi where Jesus asks Peter “who do you say I am”. And then we visit the Mt of Beatitudes, and then Tabgha where Jesus cooked breakfast for His weary friends. We go to Capernaum, where Jesus based His ministry after he had been rejected by his own townsfolk in Nazareth. In Capernaum, we view the ruins of the great ancient synagogue (built directly on the site where Jesus preached) and then we enjoy the calmness of the Sea of Galilee with a boat ride across to Ginosar. There we view the amazing 2000-year-old Jesus boat at the Ginosar museum. We return to our hotel once more in time for evening dinner, followed by an optional meeting, and overnight at Kfar Giladi.

Nazareth Village and Jerusalem. 

 

Today we head to Jerusalem, on the way we stop at the Nazareth Village to see a working reconstruction of what Nazareth would have looked like in the time of Jesus. We enter Jerusalem and ascend the Mount of Olives for the classic panoramic photoshoot of the city. In the evening we enter the Western (or Wailing) Wall. We will arrive for dinner, followed by an optional meeting, and overnight stay will be at the Dan Panorama Jerusalem.

The Old City Walk

Today we take a walking tour of the Old City of Jerusalem. We will visit the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus was betrayed by Judas and spent time in agonized prayer. We will walk the Palm Sunday route along the Via Dolorosa viewing the 14 stations of the cross. From there we go to St Annes Church, where we will enjoy its amazing acoustics! After seeing the remains of the Pool of Bethesda, we will also visit St Marks Church and the Upper room where the Last Supper took place. We finish the day at the Southern Steps which Jesus himself would have walked on to approach the Temple. Then we return to the Dan Panorama Jerusalem hotel for evening dinner, followed by an optional meeting, and overnight stay.

Baptisms, the Dead Sea and Masada

 

We begin the day with a trip to the authentic baptismal site at Qsar El Yahud. We will then go to the Dead Sea beach where we will enjoy bathing ourselves in Dead Sea mud(!) and floating in the Dead Sea itself, a unique experience. We finish the day with a visit to the Masada fortress to hear the amazing story of the Jews last stand against the Romans. We return to the Dan Panorama hotel for evening dinner , followed by an optional meeting, and overnight stay.

PLEASE NOTE: We suggest you bring a towel with you for the Dead Sea day. You can hire towels on site for around 10 Shekels, payable locally.

The Israel Museum and Bethlehem

 

Following breakfast, we begin at the Israel Museum to see the amazing Model of the City of Jerusalem from the time of the 2nd Temple in 1:50 scale. View the original Dead Sea Scrolls inside the Shrine of the Book.

We then go to Bethlehem to have lunch at Beit A Liqa, a stunning Christian project in the heart of Bethlehem. Following this we view the Shepherds Fields, famous in the Nativity story. Dinner, followed by an optional meeting and overnight at the Dan Panorama Jerusalem.

Goodbye, Jerusalem

 

Our final morning will conclude with a visit to the Garden Tomb where we will have the opportunity to share a final communion together before we transfer to Neot Kedumin Biblical Gardens for tour and lunch.

We transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for your return 16:25 flight, BA 164 to London Heathrow, dinner will be served on the flight. On arrival (19:45 local time), you will be met at London’s Heathrow Airport by our representative and escorted to your bus and transferred to the Renaissance Hotel at Heathrow Airport for your overnight stay.

Following a traditional English breakfast you will be transferred to the terminal building for your return flight to Denver at 11.30 on BA 219. (You should arrive home in Denver at approx. 15:25)
