Depart from London Luton for a 09:50 EL AL (see left) flight to Ben Gurion Airport, arriving at 16:40 in Tel Aviv. A Transfer to kibbutz Hagoshrim in time for evening dinner (some of the best food in Israel) and check into your rooms for a well-earned rest. In the morning you will meet the delegates from the USA.

Tuesday 28th April 2020 - The Sea of Galilee & Sites around the LakeRead More


We start the day with a visit to the Mount of Beatitudes where we will arrive around 9am, connecting with delegates from the USA. Onto Mensa Christi (the shores of the Sea of Galilee which houses the Church of the Primacy of St Peter), and we will then visit Capernaum (Village of Naum and the town where Jesus lived – Matthew 4:13). A short stop for lunch to try St Peter’s Fish (tilapia) in one of the local fish restaurants (paid for locally). After lunch we will see the “Jesus Boat” located at Nof Ginosar museum and we will then end the day with a relaxing boat trip (see right) on the Sea of Galilee where you will have the opportunity to partake in Communion should you wish before returning to Kibbutz Hagoshrim for evening dinner and our optional meeting together.

Wednesday 29th April 2020 - The Upper Galilee, Nazareth and the Dead SeaRead More


Drive north for a walk in the Banias (also known as Caesarea Philippi, see left), next we visit Tel Dan. Onto Chorazin (one of the villages in Galilee where Jesus would have performed His mighty works!) it houses a typical Galilean style synagogue. We will then head through Cana before visiting the Nazareth Village which is an open-air museum that reconstructs and re-enacts village life in the Galilee in the time of Jesus. We will travel to Dead Sea area in time for dinner and optional evening meeting at the David Dead Sea hotel.

Thursday 30th April 2020– The Dead Sea and MasadaRead More


This morning we ascend to the summit of Masada by cable car to hear it’s amazing story before traveling north to Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. A lunch stop (paid locally) and a brief visit to the Ahava Dead Sea products base and an opportunity to buy some special cosmetics before an opportunity, if you wish, to float in the Dead Sea (see right, the lowest point on earth, 1300ft below sea level). We depart for Jerusalem, on route we stop at the authentic baptismal site Qsar El Yahud in the Jordan river, thought to be around 200m from where Jesus was baptized.

Friday 1st May 2020 – Jerusalem & BethlehemRead More


After breakfast we will visit the Israel Museum which houses the Shrine of the Book to see the Dead Sea scrolls, we will view the Model City which is a reconstruction of the City of Jerusalem from around the time of the 2nd Temple, it is in a 1:50 scale and is thought to be very accurate because of the detailed works recorded by Josephus Flavius. On to Yad Vashem (The Holocaust Museum) which will be a very emotional experience. From there to Bethlehem where we will stop for lunch at Beit Al Liqa, an amazing Christian ministry reaching out to the people of Bethlehem. Lunch will cost on around $10 per person to be paid for locally. We will visit the Church of the Nativity (see left), view the Shepherds’ Fields and we will have a little time for shopping in the Bethlehem wood carving gift shop. Back to the Dan for the evening.

Saturday 2nd May 2020 – The Old City WalkRead More


We will start the day with a view from the summit of the Mount of Olives, and walk along the Palm Sunday route to Dominus Flevit (the Tear Drop church). We will cross through the Kidron Valley entering the Old City via the Lion’s Gate (also known as St Stephens Gate) to visit the Pool of Bethesda (which means “House of Mercy due to it being a pool known for healing) and then to the Church of St Anne (The acoustics in here are great for singing!). We will walk along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre believed by some to be the site of Calvary. A lunch stop in the Christian quarter (paid locally) before we view St Mark’s Church and Mount Zion with the traditional Upper room where the Last Supper is thought to have taken place. We then visit St Peter in Galicantu where Peter denied Jesus 3 times. We finish the day with a visit the Garden Tomb (see right, another possible site for Calvary and the Resurrection tomb), you will have the opportunity for Communion here.

Sunday 3rd May 2020 – The Western Wall & Hezekiah’s TunnelRead More


We will start the days touring in the Jewish quarter, onto the Western (Wailing) Wall (see left), the most Holy sites for the Jews. Onto the Southern wall and the steps of the Temple Mount, into the City of David and an optional walk through the wet Hezekiah’s tunnel which will take about 25 minutes. The water comes up to your knees at the highest point so appropriate clothing, flashlights (which can be purchased locally) and footwear required. Alternatively, there is an option to walk through the dry tunnel instead. The bus will take us to the Jaffa Gate for some free time to buy some lunch before haggling in the Shuk (the Arab market). Back to the Dan for the evening.

Monday 4th May 2020 – Goodbye to IsraelRead More


We finish our touring with a visit to the Garden of Gethsemane (see right) including the private garden, this is of course the place Judas betrayed Jesus the night before his crucifixion.

We will have lunch at the Ramat Rachel Hotel (To be paid locally) before we transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for your 18:45 return flight arriving at London Luton for 22:20, a meal will be served on flight.
