Jaffa/Caesarea / Mt Carmel/ Megiddo

Depart Tel Aviv and visit the Old Town of Jaffa, walk through the narrow passages of Old Jaffa, believed to be the oldest port city in the world and where cedars from Lebanon arrived to build Solomon’s Temple. See St. Peter’s Church from outside and take a spectacular view of the Tel Aviv Shoreline from the Jaffa Hilltop. Drive along the coastal plain to Caesarea, capital of Judea under the Romans. Next we ascend Mt Carmel, Continue to Megiddo, identified as the site of Armageddon. We visit the archaeological excavations including the well-preserved water supply system. Continue to Caesar Premier hotel Tiberius for dinner and overnight.

Tiberias / Capernaum

After a short tour of Tiberias, take a boat ride across to Capernaum. We view the synagogue of Chorazin where Jesus Taught- the 2nd century synagogue. Proceed to Tabgha, the site of the “Miracle of Fish and Loaves” and visit the Church of Multiplication with its 4th century mosaic floor. Continue to Mount of Beatitudes, the place where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount. Tour the Golan Heights (partly). Return to Caesar Premier Tiberius for dinner and overnight.

Magdala/Nazareth / Beit Shean

Drive to Nazareth via Cana of Galilee. A tour of the Nazareth Village (a reconstruction of the village Jesus grew up in). Drive to Yardenit, the baptismal site on the Jordan River; continue to Beit Shean, a newly excavated city, and visit the Roman theatre. Drive along the Jordan River to Jerusalem. Drive through the Jordan Valley and Samaria, we view Shiloh (if local conditions permit) and Mt. Scopus. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem at the Grand Court hotel.

Jerusalem –

We begin with ascending the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the city. We walk down to the Garden of Gethsemane, view King David’s Tomb and the Room of the Last Supper located on Mount Zion. We enter within the walls of the Old City and visit the Cardo, Temple Mount (entrance to the mosques not included), pool of Bethesda, Western Wall, Via Dolorosa, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and the oriental Bazaar. Visit the Garden Tomb, potential place of Calvary and where Golgotha is located. Dinner and overnight Jerusalem at Grand Court hotel.

Dead Sea /Qumran/ Ein Gedi

Drive to Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Visit the ancient city of Qumran and drive along the shores of the Dead Sea, time and weather permitting, an opportunity will be provided to float on the Dead Sea. Return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight at the Grand Court hotel.

We begin the day at the Church of Saint Peter in Galicantu the Roman Catholic church located on the eastern slope of Mount Zion, just outside the walled Old City of Jerusalem. Next to the house of Caiaphas and courtyard of Peter. We go onto the Western Wall for a time of personal prayer. Our last evening in Jerusalem is free for you to wander the city or relax. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem at the Grand Court hotel.
