Monday 9th September

Travel from London Luton to Tel Aviv. On arrival in Israel we will be met by our guide and coach who will drive us to our hotel in Jerusalem.

Tuesday 10th September

After breakfast we board our coach and drive to Caesarea Maritime, viewing the ancient aqueduct and Roman Amphitheatre. From there we visit the Druze town of Daliat Al Karmel and the site where Elijah confronted the 450 prophets of Baal. Our next stop is the Old Testament village in Nazareth where we will also enjoy a biblical meal together. Visist a Greek Church – The Source in Nazareth and then to Cana on our way to our hotel in Galilee.

Wednesday 11th September

Today we will enjoy a boat trip on the Sea of Galilee. From our hotel we cross the lake to Capernahum, one of many ancient towns on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. Our coach will take us from there to Tabgha the site of the miracle of the loaves and fishes, St Peter’s Primacy and Magdala and finally to Yardenit the River Jordan baptismal site.

Thursday 12th September

A day focusing on the Lord, visiting Sfat, the city of lights, and Birket Ram where we will stop for a Druze lunch. Finally we drive deep into the Golan Heights to Caesarea Phillippi, where Jesus asked the question “who do men say that I am?”

Friday 13th September

Today we leave behind Galilee and drive South and up to Jerusalem with a packed lunch provided by the hotel. We will travel via Mt. Tabor site of the Transfiguration Ein Herod and the Wadi Qelt passing The Inn of the Good Samaritan. Although a parable, in the 6th century a Byzantine Monastery was built over an earlier site dating back to the BCE period. Then on to our hotel in Jerusalem.

Saturday 14th September

To the Mount of Olives to view the city of Jerusalem including the ancient walls built by Sultan Suleiman. We will walk down to Kidron Valley to the Garden of Gethsemane Church of all Nations also known as the Church of the Agony. Here and in the adjoining private garden we will be able to contemplate the agony of Jesus as He wrestled with what was to unfold in the next few hours. We will then visit Dominus Flevit where Jesus wept for Jerusalem, Lion Gate, The Pool of Bethesda, St Annes Church, walk the Via Dolorosa and view the ancient Lithostratus – the roman pavement.

Sunday 15th September

This morning we will be in the Old City of Jerusalem – visiting the Western Wall and the tunnel and the Southern Steps of the Temple. In the afternoon we will head off to Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum. After this we will worship at King of Kings.

Today we head West to Neot Kedumim. We will visit the ancient port of Jaffa and the village of Abu Gosh, the possible site of the Emmaus Road encounter. In the evening after our meal we will enjoy a time of fellowship together.

Tuesday 17th September

We have an earlier than normal start to get down to Massada before the heat of the midday sun. After that a visit to King David’s spring at Ein Gedi and enjoy a float in the Dead Sea.

Wednesday 18th September

Today we  are back in the Old City of Jerusalem with a visit to Mount Zion, the Jewish Quarter, the Temple Institute and the Roman Cardo. The afternoon is free for you to revisit, unwind or visit the many market stalls in the Arab Shuk.

Thursday 19th September

We start our last day with Communion at the Garden Tomb which many believe to be the location of Golgotha and the Tomb of Joseph of Arimathea, and therefore the site of the crucifixion, death and resurrection of Jesus. We will tour the Garden and then celebrate our private communion here. We will then visit the biblical village of Ein Kerem, birthplace of John the Baptist, for lunch before transferring to the airport for our flight home.
